Mid Hudson Health & Safety Institute

The Mid-Hudson Health and Safety Institute assists business and industry in developing programs to reduce worker risk and comply with mandated Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) requirements. The Institute provides consultation and assessment, awareness, and training to clarify mandates and adapts training to the specific health and safety needs of individual businesses.

In addition, the Institute houses Ulster County's Traffic Safety and Injury Prevention Program sponsored through the Traffic Safety Board and the Governor's Traffic Safety Committee. Educational and informational programs, together with a resource library, are available to community organizations at no cost.

The Institute uses online training for up to date Environmental Technology training and instruction of current Homeland Security issues.

The Institute is headquartered on SUNY Ulster Ulster's Stone Ridge, NY campus. For further information or to receive a brochure or schedule of upcoming events call 800: 724-0833, extension 5014 or 845: 687-5014, or e-mail the Institute Director, Pamela Wanning, at wanningp@sunyulster.edu.
