Development Center for Business

The Development Center for Business (DCB) offers a comprehensive line up of classes and certificate programs to enhance your career. For business professionals seeking to climb the career ladder, we offer courses in the areas of management and supervision, project management, computer skills, medical office administration, and accounting.
Opportunities for licensure and recertification are available for real estate, insurance, teaching, and nursing professionals.

The DCB also offers certificate programs specially designed to help you move into a new career. Programs include NYS Certified Home Inspection, Pharmacy Technician, EKG Technician, Pharmaceutical Representative, Personal Trainer, Nutrition and Wellness Consultant, NCCER Construction Essentials Certification, Business Office Manager, and more.

Additional classes for small business owners, business start-ups, and entrepreneurs are offered in partnership with the Small Business Development Center and the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE). Whether you need to learn the fundamentals of starting a new business, want to expand your marketing strategy, or launch a new product, the DCB has a class for you.

The Development Center for Business also provides customized employee trainee programs for area employers. Since 1982, the Center has been a training provider for local businesses, healthcare agencies, manufacturers, and not-for-profit organizations in the areas of management, human resources, computer, and quality training. Programs are customized to meet company specified needs, and are flexible in regard to location and hours. Programs can be delivered at the employer's worksite, the Business Resource Center in Kingston, or on the Stosne Ridge campus.
