Transferring From SUNY Ulster
Spending your first two years at SUNY Ulster can provide you with a convenient and affordable start toward your educational goal. Once you have completed your associate degree at SUNY Ulster, there are numerous opportunities for transfer to college or universities to pursue a baccalaureate or higher degree.
Many of SUNY Ulster's Associate in Arts and Associate in Science programs are designed specifically to satisfy requirements needed to continue at four-year schools. SUNY Ulster's programs provide a solid foundation of general education and core courses necessary for advanced study.
After completion of your associate degree at SUNY Ulster and completion of specific requirements needed to enter the college of your choice, you can transfer credits and typically enter your new school as a third year student. About 70 percent of SUNY Ulster's graduates transfer.
When you are ready to transfer, you will need to send the college you are applying to an official transcript along with your application. No transcript will be sent for students who have outstanding debts to the college (financial obligations, library books, traffic violations, equipment, and so forth), until the student clears these debts with the appropriate office. Students should allow four days for transcripts to be processed.
