  • What is a Title III grant?

Title III is a federally funded program providing resources to assist institutions of higher education in strengthening academic progams and services, and assessing and managing functions within the organization.

  • What is the grant addressing?

SUNY Ulster's Title III grant addresses two (2) major components:

Component 1: Retention and Persistence of Ulster Students

Component 2: Institutional Assessment

  • When does the grant begin and end?

The Title III Project began on October 1, 2007 and will end on September 30, 2012.

  • How much money was awarded?

SUNY Ulster will receive approximately $1.8 million over the five (5) year period.

  • What exciting projects are on the agenda?
  • Luminis Communications Portal.
  • Development of interventions for students on academic probation.
  • Creation of an "Information Commons."  
  • How do I get involved?
