SUNY Ulster - International Students

International Students

SUNY Ulster does not offer financial aid for foreign national students.

International students may be able to utilize an alternative loan from a lender such as CITIBANK.

For information on how to secure aid from other sources, the following sources are available:

International students may be able to work on campus. Students must have a valid Social Security Number. If you are temporarily in the United States while attending college with a nonimmigrant student F-1 classification, you will need a social security number to work on-campus. Your visa must indicate you are authorized for employment.

To request a social security number, you must provide specific letters and documentation to the Social Security Administration (photocopies or notarized copies of documents are not acceptable). Go to www.ssa.gov/pubs/intstudents.htm for information.

The college will provide you with a student BANNER ID number.
