SUNY Ulster is part of the State University of New York. Adjunct Faculty:


ULSTER COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE is accepting applications for the adjunct faculty positions for Fall 2010.  Course descriptions are available online at www.sunyulster.edu.

BIOLOGY – to teach established Human Anatomy and Physiology courses; or General Biology courses for major and/or non-major students.  Master’s degree or Ph.D. in one of the Biological Sciences required; community college experience, and the ability and willingness to teach via alternative delivery systems (including on-line instruction) preferred. 

ECONOMICS – to teach Macroeconomics; day sessions.  Master’s degree and college teaching experience required.

ENGLISH - to teach developmental and college-level composition courses, college skills and reading, and introductory survey of literature.  Master’s degree and college level teaching required; experience with computer-assisted, blended and/or on-line courses preferred. 

HISTORY – to teach American History and Western Civilization courses; day sessions.  Master’s degree and college teaching experience required. 
 
MATHEMATICS - to teach all levels of Mathematics, from Pre-algebra through Calculus, and Elementary Statistics.  Day/evening classes.  Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education required; Master’s degree and prior teaching experience preferred.  Experience teaching Math at the community college level highly desired.

Continuing and Professional Education Trainers/Instructors

PROFESSIONAL INSTRUCTORS – PT for the Drinking Driver Program (DDP) at SUNY Ulster County Community College.  Evening and weekend classes held over 7-week cycles.  Curriculum goals are accomplished by an instructional team.  Highway safety/alcohol education background preferred.  Must possess ability to create a positive learning environment with co-instructor.

CAMP ULSTER is looking to create several new multi subject camps for the summer of 2010. The titles of the camps are: Outer Space, Wizards & Magic, Around the World, Superheroes, and Action & Movement.

In the past all of our camps have been topic specific. We are looking for teachers who can teach more then one subject. The core areas are art, science, sports/fitness, and computer but if you have other special teaching skills in addition to one or more of the core areas please apply and be part of the creation of these new camps.
