    Salary Range: Commensurate with education and experience.
    Closing Date: October 17, 2006

    This is a full-time position, beginning approximately December 1, 2006.  Excellent benefits package. 

    DESCRIPTION:
    The Director of Safety & Security reports to the Dean of Administration and is responsible for providing a safe environment for all members of the college community; protection of campus facilities; maintaining compliance of NYS Fire Safety code; management and planning of department activities; preparation of department budget; and supervision of departmental staff and programs.    

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in related academic or technical area required.  Significant experience in security or criminal justice fields may be substituted for a formal degree or any combination thereof. 

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Understanding of community college environment and demonstrated computer/software skills preferred.
