Reasons Why International Students Choose to Study at SUNY Ulster

We are affordable.

We offer a quality, affordable education for international students.  The cost of tuition is approximately $3,200 per 12-credit semester.

Our ESL program is dedicated to specific languages and cultures.

Latin American students study English as a Second language with Spanish speaking students. Japanese, Chinese, and Korean students work in specially designed classes to accommodate the specific challenges of those languages.  Each international student studies with faculty who are sensitive to that student’s particular needs.

Our classes are small.

Because the average class size at SUNY Ulster is only 18 students, faculty are able to devote more individual attention to those students they teach and advise.

Our faculty and staff are dedicated to student success and are educators of distinction.

SUNY Ulster faculty and staff are competent, caring, and culturally aware professionals who welcome the vitality that international students bring with them into the classroom.  Most of our faculty and staff hold masters' degrees; many hold doctoral degrees.  They regularly take advantage of professional training opportunities in their fields.  International students report a high level of satisfaction with the SUNY Ulster experience

We are committed to global learning:
