Early Admissions Program

SUNY Ulster's Early Admissions Program enables talented high school students to complete their senior year of high school while beginning their college courses at SUNY Ulster. As an Early Admissions student, you complete courses you need to graduate from high school, while earning college credit. These courses typically include English 101, Macroeconomics, American Government and General Psychology.

Early Admissions Candidates must:

  • Have satisfactorily completed grade 11 high school requirements;
  • Have a high school cumulative average of 80 or higher in a Regents or college-track program, as indicated on an official high school transcript;
  • Complete the SUNY Ulster Application for Admission;
  • Complete SUNY Ulster's Early Admissions application form and have the approval and signatures of their parent/guardian, guidance counselor and principal;
  • Schedule an interview with an Admissions Counselor once all applications have been filed; and
  • Achieve acceptable scores on the College's Entering Student Assessment and place into English 101.
  • Early Admissions students are able to take courses either full- or part-time and may be able to take Honors coursework as deemed appropriate. Early Admissions students are not eligible to receive financial aid.
