Travel and Lodging

The easiest way to get to SUNY Ulster is to drive your own car.
The College is easily reachable by the New York State Thruway, exiting at Kingston (Exit 19) to your first right (Route 28 West), to Route 209 South for 9.6 miles to a left turn onto Cottekill Road. The SUNY Ulster main campus is 1/4 mile in on the right. For more driving directions, click here.

Public transportation, although limited, is available directly to the main campus through:

Ulster County Area Transit , 845: 340-3333, serving the Kingston, New Paltz, and Ellenville areas.

Connections to the above carrier is available through:

Adirondack Trailways , 800: 776-7548, serving Woodstock, Phoenicia, Kingston, Rosendale, New Paltz, Albany and New York City.

• Arrow Bus (845: 658-8312) serving Poughkeepsie, Highland and New Paltz.

• Lodging is readily available in Kingston, NY, at a number of hotels and motels. The area also features many Bed and Breakfasts and inns.
