International Admissions Checklist
If you wish to apply for International Admissions, please note you will need to do the following before your file will be considered complete and ready for review:
Submit a SUNY Ulster Application for Admission.

Application Deadline Fall: June 1, Spring: November 1, and Summer: April 1

Submit official secondary (high school) transcripts – evaluated and translated by a National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) member (naces.org)

Submit official post secondary (college) transcripts – evaluated by NACES member

Submit form FSA-2 - The Autobiographical Essay - Supply an autobiographical statement in your own handwriting as to why you wish to study at SUNY Ulster.

Submit form FSA-4 - Foreign Student Financial Statement - Provide official bank statement(s) with bank official signature – showing that funds in the amount of $22,880 in US dollars is on account

Submit Affidavit of Support – from sponsor(s) attesting that funds will be used to support student’s educational, personal and living expenses while attending SUNY Ulster.

The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is a requirement for admission. All applicants must take the examination and request that official test scores be sent to the Admissions Office at Ulster County Community College (school code = 2938).
A minimum score of 500 is required on the paper based TOEFL, 173 on the computer based TOEFL and 70 on the internet based TOEFL. A score of Grade Pre-1 on the Step EIKEN test is acceptable for native speakers of Japanese.

If considered an acceptable candidate for admission, an I-20 will not be sent out until applicant has made payment of ½ tuition to SUNY Ulster Student Accounts Office
**Please be aware that SUNY Ulster is a non-residential campus and does not offer
housing to its students. Students are responsible for securing their own housing
accommodations and transportation to campus.
