Personal Development
Joining student clubs and organizations gives you the opportunity to meet a diverse population of people that allow you to expand your thinking and interest. With more than 20 Student Clubs to choose from, it is easy to meet friends and be part of a group that shares your same interest in activities, academics, curriculum, governance or other special areas.
Leadership Skills
Joining a club or organization allows you to develop leadership skills within an environment of your peers. Organized and run by students like you along with a faculty advisor, these clubs offer flexible meeting times to find that special place that will make you feel right at home. Clubs offer opportunities to build relationships with the community through volunteering, field trips and networking opportunities.
Business Club
The SUNY Ulster Business Club presents an opportunity for SUNY Ulster students to experience and learn from various business-related activities. With speakers, club trips, club events, and networking opportunities, the SUNY Ulster Business Club is the ideal place for any student pursuing a career in any field.

Creative Writing Club
The Creative Writing Club meets to read, discuss, and workshop a variety of our own
creative pieces - from short stories and plays to poetry. We encourage writers to
bring original work for friendly discussion and feedback. The Club members also work
to produce a small publication each semester. This publication is student led, student
created, and student driven.

DREAM (Disability Rights, Education Activism, and Mentoring)

Environmental Club
The Environmental is a group of thoughtful students committed to promoting environmental awareness in the campus community. This club provides students with the opportunity to discuss environmental issues and partner with local organizations to take part in community service to improve the environment and raise environmental awareness both on and off campus.

eSPORTS Club
The eSports Club provides a competitive, yet friendly, video game-based environment for members to practice, build relationships, communicate and work as a team through playing video games. The club hosts at least one fundraiser competition per semester that anybody can enter to play.

The LGBTQ Association & Allies club, will work and fundraise together to promote Education, Advocacy, Awareness, Inclusivity, health and wellness, through engaging activities and group meetings.

The SUNY Ulster Nursing Club is open to all nursing students on the SUNY Ulster campus in Stone Ridge, NY. We are dedicated to education, volunteerism and improving our community. We also provide a community for incoming nursing students to acclimate to the rigors of nursing school.

Phi Theta Kappa
SUNY Ulster’s Alpha Rho Delta Chapter is the international honor society for community college students. Membership is lifelong and offers numerous benefits including scholarships, letters of recommendation, and recognition of academic prestige.
To be eligible for membership:
- You must be enrolled and matriculated at SUNY Ulster
- You must have completed at least 12 academic credits that may be applied to an associate degree or certificate program as a full-time or part time student
- You must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher

Robotics Club
The SUNY Ulster Robotics Club aims to cultivate and develop student interest in STEM and provide a learning environment for students to improve their problem-solving skills, their team- working skills, and their programming and engineering abilities, as they work together and gain new insight on how electronic technologies work. Robotics Club members will work on different projects voted on by Robotics Club members and approved by the club advisors. Projects may include participating in available robotics-competitions with other schools. Robotics Club meetings are held weekly at a day, time, and location designated by the club advisors.

Students For Life promotes human life, supports pregnant and parenting students, and educates peers on life issues. Students For Life is a chapter of Students for Life of America.

Tea & Tales
Tea & Tales meets to discuss and appreciate literature associated with East-Asian culture and folklore. The club aims to create a positive atmosphere with people that are interested in it, all while enjoying a cup of our favorite teas.

The SUNY Ulster Tennis Club aims to provide a safe place for students to learn and play tennis, pickleball, and other racquet/padel sports. Veterinary Technicians Club (Vet Tech)
Student Chapter of the New York State Association of Veterinary Technicians , Founded in 2003 the Veterinary Technology Club at SUNY Ulster promotes awareness of and appreciation for Licensed Veterinary Technicians. The Vet Tech Club accomplishes this mission through onsite and offsite education programs. These programs emphasize animal education, animal health, animal husbandry, animal welfare and the current status of Veterinary Technology in New York State.
