Animal Science Office Assistant Certificate
Gain the skills needed to become employed as an office assistant in a veterinary medical
practice or hospital. You’ll learn basic knowledge of animal nutrition, anatomy and
physiology, infectious disease, and medical terminology as well as the skills necessary
for the maintenance of a veterinary practice office.

Upon satisfactory completion of the program, graduates will have all the required
AVMA clinical skills to enter the workforce as a Vet Tech. Graduates are eligible to sit for the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE)
allowing them to receive their New York State license and to use the title of Licensed
Veterinary Technician (LVT).
