Human Services A.S.
If you’re looking for a career that enriches the lives of others and strengthens your
community, this Associate’s degree will lead to a career in human services, psychology,
social work, counseling, and mental health. Heavy emphasis is placed on both liberal
arts and pre‐professional studies. An optional field work internship is recommended
and preferred by some transfer institutions.

This program is designed for students who want to transfer to a four year college
or university to earn their four-year degree. For those who want to work in the field
directly after attaining their Associate’s degree, SUNY Ulster also offers an A.A.S.
