How to Apply for a Scholarship
If you are an existing student:
you can complete the application after signing in at our Scholarship Applicant page. After you complete the application, please expect 5-10 business days to hear back.
If you are a new student:
Start by completing our Student Sign Up You will receive a login and password in about 24 hours. After you have your new credentials you can follow the steps above as an Existing Student.
If you're unsure about your eligibility for Scholarships or other Financial Aid opportunities, fill out our Financial Aid Inquiry form and someone will get back in touch with you.
Gene Haas Scholarship
The Gene Haas Foundation was founded in 1999 with the primary goal to build skills in the machining industry by providing scholarships for CNC machine technology students and NIMS credentials. SUNY Ulster students enrolled in Mechanical Engineering and Continuing Education/Non-Credit students enrolled in Machine Design & Production I – MFG 103 or Machine Design & Production II – MFG 104 are eligible for the scholarship. To apply for this scholarship, follow the "How to Apply for a Scholarship" steps above.
SUNY Workforce Development Training Grant – Pathways Track
The SUNY Workforce Development Training Grant – Pathways Track provides funding for SUNY community colleges to operate workforce development/job training programs to address training needs for businesses and organizations in local communities.
If you are 18 years or older and want more information on Pathways trainings, please complete our Online Application Form.
Pathways funding at SUNY Ulster can be used for these programs:
- Advanced Manufacturing Pre-apprentice Microcredential
- CNC Pre-apprentice Microcredential
- Cut and Sew Microcredential
- Clinical Medical Assistant
- Small Business Management Microcredential
