Professor Steven Schimmrich will deliver a talk titled Natural Cement, Bluestone, & Bricks: A Geologic History of Ulster County where he will discuss the geological history of Ulster County and how this led to a number of important historical industries here in Kingston and the surrounding areas. Professor Schimmrich has taught geology at SUNY Ulster for 25 years and is the author of Geology of the Hudson Valley: A Billion Years of History.
