Program Description
Surveyors are involved in land surveying, route surveying, construction surveying, photogrammetry, mapping, global positioning systems, geographical information systems, and other areas of property description and measurements.

At the completion of the AAS Surveying Technology Degree program, a student will be able to
Employment Potential
Students successfully completing this program will be prepared to work in the field of surveying eventually leading to professional land surveyor licensure. This program was also designed to seamlessly transfer to a four year institution for Surveying Engineering Technology.
Requirements for Program Entry
Developmental Assistance Available
For students who do not meet basic reading and math requirements or who have other learning issues, extra assistance is readily available through SUNY Ulster’s Learning Center, The Gary and Janaki Math Center, the Writing Center, the Peer and Friend Tutor Program, and English as a Second Language (ESL) tutors.
